Selena Gomez recently starred in a parody of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ with comedian Nick Kroll entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Blue.’ Now that the original book is being made into a movie, will Sel be auditioning?“I don’t think so!” Gomez told MTV. “I know I’m taking risks, but I don’t think I could do that! That would be a little too much for me. I think someone older should do that part.” Fair enough. So has she read the salacious novels?

“I only read the beginning of it, because when they told me about the skit, I didn’t know what it was about,” she admitted. “So I started to read it, and I was like, ‘Oh, this is spicy.’ So I thought it was good, it was intriguing. Obviously, it’s working, so the skit was really funny.”

While the S&M fare may be more Rihanna‘s style than Selena’s, she’s still open to more mature acting roles. She displays a bad girl side in ‘Spring Breakers,’ in which the squeaky clean starlet drinks, parties and gets arrested — in addition to showing quite a bit of skin.

In addition to a slew of new movies on the horizons, Sel will hit the studio soon to work on her new album — hopefully with her BFF Taylor Swift as well as New York ‘We Are Young’ rockers Fun.
