ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

FOR NATRONA COUNTY LOWER ELEVATIONS, WYOMING

Special weather statement until 4pm Thu.

Unsettled and wet weather is expected the rest of the week and into early next week with some snow possible.

A series of storm systems will impact the area through early next week. Another storm system and strong cold front will bring another chance of rain Friday with highs only in the upper 40s to mid 50s. A much stronger storm system is expected to develop late in the weekend through Monday of next week.

Widespread rain showers are expected to develop Saturday night into Sunday. Some colder air over Sweetwater County could change some of the rain over to snow above 7000 feet Sunday. Colder air will gradually filter in Sunday night with the potential for areas down to 5000 feet to change over to snow Sunday night or Monday morning before ending.

Be prepared for rapidly changing conditions over the remainder of the week and into early next week.
