At an age when most kids fill their days with naps and play dates, five-year-old Duda Bundchen already has a career as a budding fashion designer. And if her last name sounds familiar, it should — she’s the niece of supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

The Brazilian child is partnering with local kids-wear brand Brandili Mundi, for whom she served as spokesmodel last year. Her stint was such a success that the company offered to keep her on until 2013 while also giving her the chance to launch her own collection, which will hit store shelves in July.

So how much design input does the tot actually have? Germano Costa, the commercial and marketing director of Brandili Textil, the parent company to Brandili Mundi, said, “She told us about her preferences on prints, cuts and details, and based on the briefing we received from her we came up with a collaborative collection. The pieces were all approved by Duda, whose romantic inspiration will no doubt catch girls’ eyes.”

Children’s clothing in Brazil is a $4.5 billion market, so if Duda’s collection does well, looks like her college fund will be well taken care of.
