Between March 21st and April 21st, the Casper Police Department has taken 36 auto burglary reports. A majority of these have occurred on the west side of Casper, especially in the tree street areas. The Casper Police Department would like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles AT ALL TIMES!
On Wednesday, March 11th, 2015, at 4:14 in the morning, a silver Acura was parked in front of 531 South Forest. A dark colored pick-up with "KC" lights struck the rear end of the Acura with the front bumper of the pick-up causing extensive damage.
Sometime in the evening hours of March 12th, 2015, until the morning hours of March 13th, 2015, unknown subjects vandalized 24 vehicle windshields at Coliseum Motors.
Over the past few months people have been contacted over the telephone by individuals claiming to be with the IRS. They will state you are delinquent on your taxes. They will also claim to be Publishers Clearing House and you have just won a large amount of money.Both of these are scams.
Over the past few months, local law enforcement agencies have had several reports of construction site burglaries. The Casper Police Department would like to encourage people who have a construction site located near them to report any suspicious activity.
Over the past month, the Casper Police Department has received several calls about a male subject indecently exposing himself to the public. This has happened at businesses as well as at private residences.
On Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at 10:28 in the evening, a maroon Ford Taurus was stopped at a red light on East Yellowstone and North McKinley. A dark colored Dodge Durango or similar type SUV with a black grill, hit the rear end of the Taurus causing extensive damage.
Over the past couple of weeks counterfeit $20.00 and $100.00 bills have been passed in the Casper area. The Casper Police Department encourages business owners to make sure their employees are checking all with a counterfeit bill detector pen.

Local law enforcement has received reports of possible snow shoveling scams. A person comes to your door asking to shovel snow from your walk, with intentions of scoping out your residence or vehicle.
