In what has to be one of the cruelest things to ever happen due to a typo, 26-year-old Denise Garrido of Ontario reigned as the new Miss Universe Canada for a full 24 hours before being informed that she hadn't actually won the competition. Turns out, judges miscalculated and she came in fourth, not first.
