Judd Apatow is a genius. Fa Real. Dude just know's what he's doing. He's one of the best directors/producers this generation has seen. From Freaks and Geeks, to the 40 Year Old Virgin, to Funny People, the guy seems to have his finger on the pulse of what is "funny." Case-in-point: Knocked Up. It is the prototypical example of a Judd Apatow movie. It's extremely funny but it also has a strong message, making it not 'just' a comedy. That being said, Knocked Up could have been taken in an entirely different direction, had Michael Cera not gotten fired from the production. What? You didn't know Michael Cera, of Superbad fame was originally cast in the Seth Rogen role? Well, he was! Here's the proof.
