You will probably not be surprised to learn that there is a Grinch running around Casper.

But this Grinch has set the bar high. He has stolen from those who are the neediest among us.

Pastor Rodney Austin of the Set Free Church was collecting toys, food and toiletries for those in need, all to be distributed at the church's annual Christmas Eve party Saturday.

There, the gathered guests will not only have a great meal and be given the necessities of life and the toys that make Christmas complete for the kiddos, but there will be a Nativity play and a lesson from the Pastor about the real meaning of the day.

But Monday, someone broke into the church's thrift store and made off with all the toys that had been gathered up to that point.

This is where Casper can help. The Pastor told K2 Radio News that there will be roughly 200 children at the gathering, usually between the ages of 3 to 14. He said there is usually a pretty even split of boys and girls.

While the Casper Police Department tries to track down this Grinch, the city can help replenish what was lost.

Any toy donations would be greatly appreciated, and can be dropped off at the Set Free Thrift Store located at 342 East K Street. [MAP]  Their number is 307-315-6284.

The Pastor will be a guest on the K2 Morning show at around 6:45 AM Thursday. You can listen live here.

We are sure the people of Casper will respond and save Christmas for these youngsters who have so little.
