For this week's Throwback Thursday video we take it back to 1996 with the Fugees.

Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel, collectively known as the Fugees, had one of the most critically acclaimed hip-hop albums of all time with The Score. The album had just the right mix of everything (lyrics, R&B, Soul, Caribbean, etc.). And the trio just sounded so perfect together. It spanned enough hits that it boosted all three members solo careers to stellar heights.

As difficult as it was to pick one song off the 6x platinum selling album, I went with Fu-Gee-La. I credit "L Boogie" for opening doors for emcees that also possessed the gift of singing (like Missy Elliot, Nicki Minaj and Drake), although I think Lauryn was equally gifted at both.

No matter what... this will remain a classic.
