For this week's Throwback Thursday video, we take it back to Queens, NY with Ladies Love Cool James, better known as LL Coo J.

LL Cool J whose government name is James Todd Smith has one of the longest lasting careers that has expanded from Hip-Hop into movies and television. The G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time), has been burning up the charts since 1984 as one of the flagship artists on Def Jam Records, alongside other legends like Run DMC and the Beastie Boys.

I picked his hit single '4,3,2,1' for a couple of reasons. For one, it's one of my all time favorite collaboration tracks in Hip-Hop. It also caused a major rap beef in the late 90's which revolved around L's tattoo and the original verse by guest artist Canibus. Fast-forward almost 20 years and LL has Canibus on stage with him performing that same song!

Also want to wish the G.O.A.T. a Happy Belated Birthday!!! LL turned 47 yesterday (January 14th, 2015)!!!
