Throwback Thursday: Mary J Blige [VIDEO]

For this week's Throwback Thursday video, we party it up with the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige.

Often credited as opening the doors for the blending of R&B artist with Hip-Hop acts, which has pretty much become the stable since the mid-90s, as well as opening the door for other prominent artists (such as Mariah Carey) to do the same has made Mary a pioneer. She was also the first artist that a then unknown A&R by the name of Sean "Diddy" Combs chose to mold.

Mary has a career that's since it's beginnings in 1992 has since garnered her 9 Grammy Awards and 30 Grammy nominations! Combine that with 8 of her albums selling multi-platinum numbers in the states alone and her filmography, she's an all around powerhouse that can't be stopped.

I picked 'Love @ 1st Sight' for this week's video because it again pairs her with often Wu-Tang Clan front man, Method Man. The duo always just seems to mesh well together, especially when combined with Comb's production. I personally think they should do a track together at least every 10 years.
