Throwback Thursday is taking it back a full 20 years! 1993: known as the golden era of Hip-Hop. That time period birthed many of legends, some of which are still in the game(Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, etc.). My iPod being on shuffle choose today's travel down memory lane though.

Enter Super Cat. Super Cat is a dancehall/reggae artist born in Kingston Jamaica, best known in America for doing remix versions of his songs with popular hip-hop and R&B artist of the era. This video marks the first time I ever head the late, great, Notorious B.I.G. (along with Sean Diddy Combs who was going by Puff Daddy at the time). Biggies now famous line, which has been sampled and become a staple in slang terminlogy all around the world, "I love it when you call me Big Poppa", was first used on this track.

Super Cat is now 50 years old and still rocks shows. Just this year he performed with fellow dancehall singjay, Shaggy and released an album of older recordings that had been remixed by The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo).
