Turntable Tuesday: Skratch Bastid & Chris Karns [VIDEO]

There was quite a hiatus on Turntable Tuesday (almost 5 months to be exact), but after I saw/heard this awesome remix of one my favorite songs, The Doobie Brothers - Long Train Running, I had to bring it back. This rendition was performed by the turntablist combo of Skratch Bastid & Chris Karns.

Skratch Bastid was born Paul Murphy in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada. Skratch's rise to fame came after his Scribble Jam win in 2003. After two more victories of the event in 2004 and 2007, he solidified his name as a disc jockey, as well as becoming a musical force in his homeland of Canada. He's also the first ever Canadian DJ to be nominated for the Juno Award for Producer of the Year in 2008.
