Vin Diesel Reprising “Riddick” Role For The Latest Installment In The Series [VIDEO]

Movie goers across the country are awaiting September 6th, 2013. The reason: the next installment in the Riddick series will be coming to a theater near you. After the success of the three prior movies (Pitch Black, the animated Dark Fury and The Chronicles of Riddick), Universal Pictures is ready for the next chapter. As is Vin Diesel.

After watching a few different trailers, Riddick is sure to bring back the core fan base of the mythos, as well as attracting new viewers. There are a couple of cool surprises (that I will not mention as to not ruin the surprise) and it's actually going to answer the questions as to what happened between this movie and Chronilces. Being a loyal fan of Vin, who's given name is Mark Sinclair Vincent, I actually remember how this role helped catapult his career into the light, so to speak, with the release of the fairly low budget Pitch Black. That being said, I'm sure sci-fi fanatics the world over will be pleased with this effort as well.

The movie's official website and Facebook have some pretty cool features too. My favorite was the ability of taking a picture of yourself and giving it the effect you have Riddick's trademark glowing eyes. At the very least it was quick, easy and fun to play with. The kid in all of us still wishes we had super powers.
