There has been a summer heatwave rolling through areas like Arizona and New Mexico. That got me thinking about what the hottest temperature it can be outside before your body just couldn't handle it.

Quora.com has some information on this but does say that these are just estimates. Also humidity plays a factor as well, so someone can hike the Death Valley on its hottest day (131 degrees) and be OK as long as they had water.

I also read that at 105 degrees your proteins begin to break down but wearing protective gear can help that and help you withstand hotter temperatures. Less clothing can actually be worse than wearing good outside gear.

People have hiked around Yuma, Arizona in 127 degree weather and been OK, again all about water or getting cooled off somehow.  After 150 degrees your body can start to do odd things though.
