Summertime is here and things are starting to heat up. I am regularly outdoors and it is so easy to get heat exhaustion or even worse stroke. It's important to always stay hydrated but even so you can still experience overheating.

Some of the symptoms of heat stroke are : High body temperature. A body temperature of 104 F (40 C) or higher is the main sign of heatstroke. Nausea and vomiting, Flushed skin, Rapid breathing, Racing heart rate, Headaches.

According to the Mayo Clinic this is what you should do if you are suffering from heat exhaustion.

"If you think a person may be experiencing heatstroke, seek immediate medical help. Call 911 and take immediate action to cool the overheated person while waiting for emergency treatment. Get them into shade or indoors and remove excess clothing.
Cool the person with whatever means available, put in a cool tub of water or a cool shower, spray with a garden hose, sponge with cool water, fan while misting with cool water, or place ice packs or cold, wet towels on the person's head, neck, armpits and groin. "

According to WebMD, heat stroke is the most intense form of heat injury and is considered an emergency, that's why it is so important to call 911 if you feel you are having heat stroke.
