Recognize these faces? We have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more of them soon.

The Ceremonies had the honor of introducing Florida Georgia Line at the 2013 American Music Awards, but since the band is still on the rise, we're here to fill you in on what you need to know.

We'll start with the basics. The Ceremonies is comprised of three brothers: Matthew, Mark and Michael Cook. The brothers Cook are very artistically inclined. Matthew, the oldest, is the trio's lyricist and "musical architect,' Michael is an abstract painter, and Mark (Michael's twin) paints while he earning a business degree. Whew!

The Ceremonies cite influences such as the Smiths and the Cure, but also incorporate a lot of visuals into their performances.

“We cross-breed the rock band feeling with a multi-media theatrical element when we perform,” says Matthew (via the band's official website.) “Our shows aren’t just concerts, but something much more special — where people can go not only to watch our performance but also to have an impactful experience.”

“That’s why we call ourselves the Ceremonies,” explains Mark. “We’ve created a sense of communion through music,” adds Matthew. “Ceremonies can be both positive or negative. Ceremonies are held for someone’s funeral or wedding; they are all-encompassing gatherings about engaging with emotion.”
