The very first time I heard "I Wanna Rock" by the newly crowned Snoop Lion (formally Snoop Dogg before being rechristened by a Rastafarian priest in Jamaica), I immediately knew where the main sample came from. And where is that, you may ask? It comes from the introduction to Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock's 1988 smash hit, "It Takes Two". I love it when an artist pays homage to pioneers. The title of Snoop's version alone is a tribute to Rob Base. Matter of fact, it's the first line in the original!!!

This one is hard a choice for me, but which one do you like better?
