Hey, we've got an idea! How about we all gather together and celebrate out nation's independence this Tuesday?

I'm always surprised at how excited I get for Fourth of July. I mean, I love 'Murica, but I'm not the biggest fan of summer. But it never fails... I find myself getting excited for fireworks, burgers, watermelon and ice cream. Maybe I love Independence Day so much because it instantly takes me back to my childhood.

So let's all get together and act like a bunch of kids!

Fireworks Festival 2017 returns on Tuesday, July 4 on the Casper Events Center grounds. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with fun for everyone. The kids will enjoy the Science Zone Discovery Kid's Area, while the adults can kick back and relax at the Kistler Tent Adult Playground which includes a beer garden and games. You must be 21 or older to enjoy the Adult Playground.

There will also be an all-day Battle of the Bands featuring local bands on the Foss Motors Stage.

Don't forget all of the vendors on site and food booths to keep you tummy full and happy. At 10 p.m. we'll see a gorgeous fireworks display overhead. Since fireworks are illegal in all of Natrona County, you don't want to miss this show. Plus, the entire thing is synchronized with us! So just tune in and keep those eyes to the sky.

You are allowed to bring in coolers, food and beverages to Fireworks Festival. No glass containers are permitted.
