Freaks and geeks across the Cowboy State are already pumped for Cheyenne Comic Con. Now, old school professional wrestling fans are getting in on the fun. WWE Hall of Famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine was recently announced as a celebrity guest at the inaugural event in May.

Best known for his 285 day run as WWF Intercontinental Champion in 1984, Valentine first rose to fame as the tag team partner of "Nature Boy" Ric Flair in the late '70s. Together, Valentine and Flair would win the NWA World Tag Team Championships twice.

Valentine would later go on to win another tag team title with Baron Von Raschke before claiming the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship on three occasions. He remained a fixture in the NWA, WWF and WCW for decades. In 2004, "the Hammer" was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Following his in-ring career, Valentine made several television appearances on the Fuse Network series Insane Clown Posse Theater.

The iconic wrestler joins a long list of actors and celebrities set to appear at Cheyenne Comic Con, including actors Lew Temple, Deep Roy, Ernie Hudson and actresses Amanda Bearse, Virginia Madsen, Kristin Bauer, Katrina Law and Naomi Grossman.

Organizers are teasing the announcement of three more celebrity guests leading up to the event, which will take place May 13-15 at Cheyenne's Little America Resort.
