According to a new Roadsnacks study based on consumer spending habits, the average household in Wyoming will spend over 30 minutes each day shopping.

The article "These 10 States Shouldn't Shop This Holiday Season" compared each state on a number of factors, including hours spent shopping, income and credit card debt.

While Wyoming ranks seventh nationally for the most time spent shopping, the study suggests that consumers in the Cowboy State don't spend beyond their means.

The average household credit card debt in Wyoming is $4,789, well below the national average of $7,281. Wyoming shoppers also don't have as much money to spend. The average adjusted household income is $54,397, ranking 35th nationally. Overall, Wyoming was ranked the 24th worst state for shoppers in the study.

Rhode Island was named the country's worst state for shoppers, followed by Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Mexico and South Carolina. Nebraska was ranked as the most responsible state for shopping in the nation. Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Kansas round out the top five.
