As of late, Wyoming has been landing pretty high on the positive national lists (see here and here). Maybe that's why the Cowboy State catching the snub on real estate website, USNews Best Places To Live In The USA list is so painful.

Our sister state, Colorado, made the list... TWICE! Denver received the coveted #1 slot and Colorado Springs came in at #5. So why no Wyoming?

The methodology of U.S. News list is based mostly on the 100 most populous cities in the country. Accord to the site:

To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.

By that logic, places like Detroit, Michigan (#86 ) and Dayton, Ohio (#69) shouldn't have technically made the cut, but who are we to judge.

With Wyoming being the least populated state, it's no wonder we didn't rank. This is probably a good thing though. Let's keep our little slice of heaven small and virtually unknown... so we don't have to share!
