Looking to beat the heat this summer?  We've got just the spot!  Just a short drive from Lander, WY outdoor enthusiasts and adventurer seekers have long headed into Sinks Canyon to find this little out of the way spot to cool off during the dog days of summer.

Popo Agie (pronounced Puh-poe Shuh) is an often mispronounced word by visitors coming to Wyoming.  Popo Agie is originally a Crow Indian word that according to locals means 'gurgling river'.

Along the middle fork of the Popo Agie River is a place that has become a popular spot for hikers and campers alike - the Popo Agie Falls.  A natural granite water slide that looks like a lot of fun, if you don't mind the ice cold water landing waiting for those who are brave enough to slide.

The hike covers a little over 3 miles each way and had a couple of incline and decline sections.  But overall the hike is rated as easy to intermediate easy.

Check out the upper video, which is a short version of the slide and splash down.  While the lower video is a bit longer and utilizes sped up time lapse video to show off the hike and falls itself.

If you're looking for a fun trip and beautiful scenery, be sure to check out the Popo Agie Falls located in Sinks Canyon State Park.
