Silly season is here and we'll be hearing a lot of political candidates talk about the growing economic divide between the middle class and the "richest one percent."

Which begs the question, how much money would you need in order to rank among the richest one percent of households here in Wyoming?

According to a recently published story from the website Mental Floss, based on statistics from the Economic Policy Institute, you would need to earn an annual household income of $388,000 in order to rank among the richest one percent here in the Cowboy State.

The highest state income needed to rank among the richest one percent belongs to Connecticut, where you would need to make over $677,000 annually. Arkansas has the lowest income required to rank among the richest one percent, at just over $228,000 per year.

If you don't make enough money to rank among the richest one percent in Wyoming, here's some solace. According to the Global Rich List, if you make an annual household income over $32,400, you are among the richest one percent of people in the entire world.
