‘X Factor’ Judges Receive Death Threats Following Drew Elimination

When Drew was eliminated from ‘X Factor‘ on Thursday night, PopCrush was legitimately bummed. Her mentor Simon Cowell was ready to ring Paula Abdul‘s neck since it was she who broke the tie in the “save” performance voting.

In fact, for the first time ever, Cowell was speechless and did not want to comment from the stage. Drew was sobbing uncontrollably. It was a scene. Apparently, viewers are so pissed at Drew being sent home that they are making death threats against the judges who decided her fate.

First off, remember, Drew received a lower tally of votes from viewers, which is why she had to perform for the judges to earn a save. So fault does not lie solely with the judges. However, the show’s fans believe that the squabbling and banter between the judges are what caused Drew to be bounced.

The show’s producers have certainly spotlighted the bickering between the panel of judges with their charges caught in the middle and fans have noticed. Fans think there was foul play and Drew was just a casualty of the other judges and their desire to weaken Cowell.

TMZ
reported that Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger have received the brunt of the brutal messages since it was they who technically sent Drew home. L.A. Reid is apparently exempt from the hate because he had to vote for Marcus Canty, who is on his Boys team and was squaring off against Drew in the “save” round.

One tweet directed at Abdul read as follows: “F— you paula you dumb c— you voted off the most talented person on your f—ing show. i hope you die you DUMB B—-.”

“@NicoleScherzy @paulaabdul go die” read another disturbing tweet. Ouch.

While these tweets are likely a bunch talking, it’s still incredibly unnerving.
