For Zendaya, landing in a sticky situation might prove to be a good thing.

The actress, activist and daring style icon has been cast as a "key role" in Marvel's upcoming untitled Spider-Man reboot — the second film to feature new hero Tom Holland — according to Deadline. Holland's Spidey will debut in Captain America: Civil War this May. Zendaya  play a character named Michelle in the 2017 reboot project, but it's not yet clear where Michelle will fit into Peter Parker's new story, or whether she's a good or bad guy.

Marisa Tomei is also in talks to join Spider-Man as Parker's Aunt May, who's most previously been played by Sally Field in the Andrew Garfield-fronted series, and Rosemary Harris in Tobey Maguire's universe.

There's new music to come from Zendaya soon, too. She told iHeartRadio in an interview published today (March 7) that her next album — her first since her 2013 debut — will be a nod to '90s R&B, and chronicle her path to becoming an independent young woman.

"There's some pop elements to it as well, but I just wanted to make something that I was proud of, and really focus on the quality of the music," she said. "That's why it took me so long. I wanted to focus on making good music that I was proud of, that I think will separate me in a sense, and make people pay attention to me, and take me seriously in a different kind of way than they have before."
