Marvel Officially Pulls ‘Inhumans’ From Their Phase 3 Schedule
Last week, when Marvel’s Kevin Feige revealed that Inhumans would be delayed (again) in order to avoid conflict with Disney’s release of Indiana Jones 5, it was sort of assumed that the film would probably disappear from Phase 3 altogether. That assumption has proven correct, as the studio has officially removed Inhumans from their 2019 schedule entirely, leaving us with a couple of questions about what Marvel will do next.
‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Adds Channing Tatum, May Be the Best Sequel Ever
As if the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle couldn’t get any better, Channing Tatum has up and joined the cast of Matthew Vaughn’s sequel to 2015’s breakout action hit. Tatum made the announcement via Twitter, where he also shared a teaser poster hinting at his part in the upcoming film, which also recently added Game of Thrones favorite Pedro Pascal.
Yes, Netflix’s Film Catalog Has Gotten Much Smaller, And It Is Frustrating
With whatever insanity seems to be going on at Warner Bros., today doesn’t seem so good for the film industry. At least we get to see the first teaser for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story tomorrow, but until then, here’s some more disappointing news for you, this time from your ol’ reliable streaming pal Netflix.
‘Captain America: Civil War’ Also Features the Return of Pepper Potts
Plenty of fans have been jokingly referring to Captain America: Civil War as Avengers 2.5, since it boasts almost the entire Avengers lineup, introduces Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, and includes villains and supporting characters both old and new. It’s…a lot. And it looks like there’s at least one more character to add to Marvel’s super-pile, as Gwyneth Paltrow has been confirmed to return as Iron Man pal Pepper Potts.
New Netflix Instant Releases: March 2016
It's that time again! A bunch of new titles are coming to Netflix Instant next month, including the latest seasons of House of Cards and Daredevil, as well as new premieres like Pee-wee's Big Holiday and Will Arnett's Flaked — and that's just the Netflix Original content. There's even more in our guide to what's hitting Netflix Instant in March.
‘Deadpool’ Wants You to Get Touchy-Feely in New Cancer Awareness PSAs
The marketing geniuses behind Deadpool have been taking some unconventional tactics: there was that hilarious poop emoji billboard, and the billboards / posters promoting the film as a Valentine’s Day romance, and now the Merc With a Mouth wants you to get handsy with yourself, promoting a little self-love with some new PSAs about cancer awareness — for him and her!
‘Finding Dory’ Teaser Spots Something Familiar
A new international teaser for Pixar’s Finding Dory has arrived online, and though it does not really offer any new footage from the long-awaited Finding Nemo sequel, it does feature the endearingly clueless Dory stumbling upon something that looks quite familiar. The film hits theaters this summer, and while it’s not a new trailer, this teaser should hold you over until more footage properly arrives.
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Star Evan Peters Confirms Identity of Quicksilver’s Dad, Teases Big Scene
If you are unfamiliar with the X-Men comics and Quicksilver’s origins, then you’ll probably consider this bit of news a pretty big spoiler — turn back now. And if you are familiar with the comics, then you’ll be happy to know that Evan Peters has confirmed the identity of Quicksilver’s father and promises that his big X-Men: Apocalypse sequence will be a worth follow-up to the scene in Days of Future Past.
‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer Assembles the Worst Heroes Ever
If you didn't tune into DC's big Dawn of the Justice League special tonight on The CW, then you missed the official debut of the new trailer for Suicide Squad. Lucky for you, the trailer has arrived online and the Worst Heroes Ever have assembled, joining forces to take down a threat much worse than all their villainous powers combined.
‘xXx 3’ Will Pit Jet Li Against Vin Diesel for Your Amusement
A return to Xander Cage was one of the last things we expected from Vin Diesel, but at least he’s keeping us on our toes. xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is shaping up quite nicely, with Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose and others joining Diesel for his second action-packed outing which will — as the actor teased a few days ago — include a longboard sequence, of all things. But in perhaps the most exciting move yet, martial arts pro Jet Li has officially joined the cast as a worthy opponent for Diesel.
‘Star Trek Beyond’ Set Video Teases Bigger Phasers, New Uniforms and Sulu’s Secret
Although we’ve already seen the first official trailer for Star Trek Beyond, there’s still plenty we don’t know about the upcoming sequel, directed by Justin Lin and co-written by star Simon Pegg. We know Idris Elba is the villain, that Kingsman’s Sofia Boutella plays an awesome-looking alien, and…that’s about it. A new set video with the cast sheds a little more light on what we can expect from Beyond, including some new weapons and uniforms and one very intriguing secret regarding John Cho’s Sulu.
‘Orange Is the New Black’ Gets Season 4 Premiere Date, New Netflix Teaser
As expected, there’s lots of big news coming from Netflix ahead of their panel at TCA ’16, and in addition to finally renewing Marvel’s Jessica Jones for Season 2, the streaming service has set a return date for Orange Is the New Black Season 4. We’re sure to learn more about the coming season once the panel commences, but expect our return to Litchfield to resolve a few of those lingering cliffhangers.
