For the second time in as many weeks, a body has been found near the downtown Casper area.

During the morning hours on Monday, January 25th, Casper Police were on scene just south of the playground at City Park, located on Center Street, between 7th and 8th Streets.

Few details are available about the situation and the body has been taken to the Coroner's Office for examination.

We'll post updates when they become available.

Last week, a body was found at an old rail loading dock near the intersection of C and Beech Streets.

The cause of death in that cause was determined to be hypothermia.
