UNDATED (AP) — For the first time in school history, Gonzaga (gahn-ZAG'-uh) is the top team in The Associated Press men's basketball poll. The 29-2 Bulldogs switched spots with former No. 1Indiana, which split its two games last week.

Gonzaga received 51 first place votes while Indiana got seven, third-ranked Duke 5 and fifth-ranked Georgetown two. The fourth ranked school this week is Kansas.

Gonzaga is the 57th school to earn the top spot in the AP poll since it was started in January 1949.

Rounding out the top-10 this week are Miami, Michigan, Louisville, Kansas State and Michigan State.

UNDATED (AP) — Fourth-ranked Kansas and No. 8 Louisville enjoyed easy victories Monday.

The Jayhawks clobbered Texas Tech 79-42 to take over the Big 12 lead, a half-game ahead of Kansas State. Jeff Withey scored 22 points and Kevin Young finished with 14 as the Jayhawks improved to 26-4 overall, 14-3 in the conference. Ben McLemore and Travis Releford each added 13 points for Kansas, which put together runs of 19-2 and 16-3 to go ahead 61-23 early in the second half.

The Cardinals whipped Cincinnati 67-51 in coach Rick Pitino's 300th victory with Louisville. Russ Smith had 18 points and the Cardinals used a 23-4 run to coast to their sixth straight win. Louisville is 25-5 overall and 13-4 in the Big East, a half-game behind first-place Georgetown.
