The news in Nepal has left the world with heavy hearts, the scene and terrifying photos that left people in that area devastated. A few Americans among the numbers of people over there including a man from Wyoming.

Many people travel to climb Mount Everest and according to the Billings Gazette a guy from Wyoming was right in the middle of it. "Darren Rogers, a 45-year-old who lives in Sheridan, Wyo., was resting in Camp 1 when a devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, killing more than 7,000 people and triggering avalanches on Mount Everest that killed 20 people and injured several more in base camp."

From the looks of his Facebook page, Darren did not allow a a 7.9 magnitude earthquake to stop him, as he posted a picture the day after the earthquake in happy spirits or as happy as he could be, I imagine.
