Josh Allen is officially listed as questionable for Wyoming's home finale after injuring his throwing shoulder last week. Here are five reasons we think he will be in the starting lineup against Fresno State on Saturday.

1. The injury won't jeopardize his future. There's always risk whenever an athlete takes the field, but a Grade 1 AC Joint strain is not career-threatening. The typical recovery time is one week.

2.  It will likely be his last game at War Memorial Stadium. In two years at Wyoming, Allen has compiled an 11-2 record at home, including wins over two ranked opponents. He will definitely want to take the field one last time in the brown and gold.

3. To show Fresno State what they missed out on. Allen grew up 45 minutes away from Fresno in Firebaugh, California. He wasn't recruited by the Bulldogs out of high school and played for a junior college in nearby Reedley. After a standout freshman season, he was passed over by Fresno State again.

4. NFL scouts judge quarterbacks on their toughness. With his size, arm strength and athletic ability, Allen is a lock to be a first-round NFL Draft pick next spring. After struggling early this season, demonstrating leadership and durability could make him one of the top overall selections. The difference between getting drafted in the top five or later in the first round could amount to $10 million or more.

5. Even a stud like Josh Allen knows, if your girlfriend isn't happy, nobody's happy. Allen is dating Fresno State cheerleader Brittany Williams. Hopefully, she'll be cheering for both teams on Saturday.
