As the calendar moves us toward a new year, I was presented this video that shows the "Oil City," 75 years ago.

The insight I've gained over my time living in Casper allows me to understand some of the footage. Richard Young, curator of the Fort Caspar Museum points out different landmarks throughout the history encompassing video.

Does anyone remember the Bison Service Station? Natrona County High School looks pretty much the same, however the surrounding area is much different.

The Red Buttes, Fort Caspar and Independence Rock are featured. The highway seems awful close to Independence Rock 75 years ago too.

Its a great watch. See how many places you recognize and share you information in the comments section.
