The North All-Stars defeated the South All-Stars in volleyball and boys' basketball last Saturday at Casper College during the Wyoming Coaches Foundation All-Star action. The South prevailed in the girls' basketball game. The North topped the South 3-2 in volleyball. The South won the first basketball contest, 79-55, in girls' play. The North finished off the final game of the day with a 90-72 win in the boys' basketball game.

The all-star action began last Saturday with the volleyball match. The North jumped out to a two-set lead, but the South rallied and forced a fifth and deciding set. The North won set one, 25-16. They took set two, 25-18. The South answered back with a 25-18 victory in set three, and then held off the North, 25-20, in the fourth set. In the fifth and deciding set, the North held on for a 15-13 win and got the match.

The South took control early and rolled to a 79-55 victory in the girls' basketball game. Pinedale's Elyn Bowers led all scorers with a game-high 22 points. McKinlee Covolo of Mountain View added 15 points, and Kemmerer's Janae Skidmore contributed 11 points. Natrona County's Brynn Sybrant scored 11 points to pace the North squad.

The boys' basketball game was the opposite. The North took control early and never let off the gas pedal, as they rolled to a 90-72 win. Truman Degrange of Campbell County led the North with 22 points. His former teammate, Lane Hladky, added 16 points, and Buffalo's Brady Engling chipped in 15 points. Lingle-Ft. Laramie's Brody Roberts topped the South team with 22 points, and Evanston's Jordan Mendez added 13 points.
