During his inauguration speech, President Trump announced that he is declaring a National Energy Emergency.

The President followed that announcement with several executive orders regarding energy from wind and solar to coal, gas, and oil.

This means big changes for Wyoming's energy industry, which has been struggling under a tidal wave of federal government regulations under the Biden administration.

But these executive orders are new and lack details.

To help Wyomingites understand how the state of Wyoming will deal with these changes, Governor Gordon requested some time on Wyoming's morning radio talk show Wake Up Wyoming, with Glenn Woods.

You can hear that interview below.

In the interview, the Governor talked about Wyoming becoming energy dominant again with an "all of the above approach."

However, he welcomed the idea of no subsidies for wind and solar and letting the free market rule on what kind of energy dominates the American electrical grid.

When asked about the inevitable lawsuits from environmental groups the Governor spoke of setting more money aside for what we know is coming in the courts.

Regarding reigning in the Federal bureaucracy, Governor Gordon has hope for working with the Trump administration on that goal.

He expressed his frustration with the twelve years it took to hang powerlines due to overregulation when we should have been able to do it in just a few months.

The conversation continued to the the fires Wyoming experienced last summer and the money he wants to put aside in the state supplemental budget to make sure we don't let things "grow" out of control next year through fire mitigation techniques.
