Coroner Asking for Help Identifying Body Found at Cheyenne Refinery

The Laramie County Coroner’s Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man whose body was found in Cheyenne last fall.

County Coroner Rebecca Reid says the decedent was found on Cheyenne Refinery's property in the 2700 Block of East 5th Street on Nov. 14, 2023.

"DNA testing has been done on the remains, but his identity is still unknown," Reid in a press release on Monday said. "(The) decedent has been entered into NamUs."

Forensic Artist Puts Face to Unidentified Remains

Reid says the images above are a forensic artist’s approximation of what the man may have looked like.

Reid says he was Caucasian, approximately 45 to 65 years old, 5-foot-8, 138 pounds, and had dark hair mixed with gray.

Reid says he didn't have any scars or tattoos and was wearing a size large brown T-shirt, size 32x32 insulated camo pants, and size 9 ½ black tactical-type boots.
