Mice as assassins? Sounds like a crazy movie story line, but in this case, truth is stranger than fiction. The US Government is using poisoned dead mice armed with parachutes to rid Guam of it's brown tree snake problem.

2,000 poisoned mice were air dropped over the United States Air Force Base (Anderson) in Guam. So if the mice are dead, why do they need parachutes? Because as they fall, they'll get caught in the trees, making them more readily accessible to their target, the brown snakes. According to officials, this will also minimize any impact to other wildlife on the island. Crazy, right? FYI, the total budget for the project is $8 million. Also, you should know the poison being used is acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol.
