As the final Captain America: Civil War trailer arrives, everyone has been patiently awaiting one thing: Spider-Man. Everything else we’ve seen and heard about the film has been great, but so far Marvel has kept the new Spider-Man (Tom Holland) completely in the dark. Will this Captain America: Civil War trailer finally be the time the ole webhead arrives? Is your Spidey sense tingling?

Plenty of fans have been jokingly referring to Captain America: Civil War as Avengers 2.5, since it boasts almost the entire Avengers lineup, introduces Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, and includes villains and supporting characters both old and new. It’s…a lot. And it looks like there’s at least one more character to add to Marvel’s super-pile, as Gwyneth Paltrow has been confirmed to return as Iron Man pal Pepper Potts.

On Team Captain America we had Hawkeye, Falcon, Bucky/Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch, while on Team Iron Man there was Vision, Black Widow, War Machine and Spider-Man. When the massive Captain America: Civil War cast list was released there was one big, green name missing: Hulk. Avengers 2 doesn't open for another few weeks, but deep inside Marvel headquarters they've already begun turning their attention to the next big movie: Captain America: Civil War. Frequently referred to as Avengers 2.5 because of the sheer amount of superheroes packed into this one film — Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Hawkeye are all confirmed to star — the third Captain America movie might be the biggest superhero film yet. As Marvel gets ready to begin filming, a casting call has given us our first look at the film's plot.

For a while, the party line on the possibility of an ‘Iron Man 4’ was that it was not going to happen. And, at least technically, that’s still true—because instead Robert Downey Jr. is co-starring ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ where his Tony Stark and Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers will get into an epic superhero tussle.

There are some actors, like Idris Elba, who are weary of starring in big-budget superhero movies (“torture” was the specific word he used to describe the process). Anthony Mackie is not one of those actors. In fact, he couldn’t be more excited about his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only is he completely jacked up about starring in ‘Captain America 3’, he wants to star in every Marvel sequel. “Me and Groot can boogie!”

Marvel badly wanted Spider-Man to be a part of 'Captain America: Civil War', but despite the best intentions from all parties, a deal was never struck and progress was reset back to square one.
