Only 118 days till the official start of summer...but who's counting?

The city of Casper is asking that residents of the Kensington Heights neighborhood in Casper (Ardon, Boots, Gramin, Grove, Stout) move their cars this afternoon (January 3) to make room for snow plows.

Casper Mountain could see up to 6" of snow today.

Casper is SO ready for the snow. Bring on the snowmen, snow angels, snow balls, snow forts...bring. it. on.

From October 16th to the 17th, in 1998, Casper got a whopping 18.7" of snow. This made the National Weather Service's list of TOP 25 snowstorms in our area since 1937.

According to the National Weather Service, today's forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 68 degrees.

Right now, Casper is in the midst of a lightning storm that has to be seen to be believed.

Most of the warnings are expected to expire Saturday evening heading into the night.

The good news is that sunny weather is expected to return by Monday. Highs in the mid-60s are expected as next week progresses.

In Natrona County, Wyoming 220 is under a no unnecessary travel advisory from Casper to Independence Rock.

First responders have worked multiple accidents in the Casper Area as road conditions worsen by the minute Tuesday evening. The Natrona County Fire District reported there have been multiple slide-offs and accidents in the area as residents make their commute home...

The National Weather Service in Riverton is calling for frigid conditions in Casper early this week.
