Casper's summer is heating up, but not just from the sun—road construction is in full swing, and it’s going to shake things up around town.

The Casper Recreation Center will be closed next week, starting on Monday evening (May 12th, 2025), to upgrade their floors.

In a news release on Tuesday, GNC has stated via their website that they are closing 1200 stores as part of a company wide reconstruction.

Currently, statewide public health orders regarding social distancing, school closures and business restrictions are set to expire April 30.

Meanwhile, a bar in Pinedale is opening an outside bar, though officials there say the move is inadvisable.

PacifiCorp appreciates patience from the public as the company works to maintain these opportunities.

The closure order extends through April 3.
