Since the 2020 Census (April 1, 2020), Wyoming’s population has increased .8 percent. This is due to net migration, not natural change.

Stefan Johansson, WDH director, said, “There was a notable reduction in suicides last year. This is certainly something we welcome. There could be several factors involved such as increased attention toward mental health issues both in our state and across the country.”

An average of 21 people die each year on this stretch of Wyoming road.

There have been 26 new COVID-19 related deaths in Wyoming, bringing the total number of COVID-related deaths to 464. Of these deaths, 97 have occurred in Natrona County, 5 of which have occurred in the last 24 hours.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 102 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 37,720. 7 new cases were reported for Natrona County, leaving the current number of active cases in Natrona County at 195.

7 new deaths have been confirmed by the Health Department over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Wyoming deaths to 328. Of these deaths, 63 have occurred in Natrona County.

The Wyoming Department of Health reported 315 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 33,203. 32 new cases were reported for Natrona County, leaving the current number of active cases in Natrona County at 524.

As reported on Friday afternoon by the Wyoming Health Department, 858 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, 158 of which occurred in Natrona County. There are no new deaths, however.

COVID is somewhat different from other infectious diseases in that it is not as dangerous after death as it is while a person is alive and breathing.
