The starting point for Casper's Unity Vigil for George Floyd has been moved from David Street Station to the paved parking lot at the intersection of David Street and Midwest Street.

While at times tense and confrontational, the protesters peacefully moved along down Second Street for the most part.

Organizer Dauvi Thompson-Rodriguez said he started doing the peaceful protest downtown by himself.

The department added that Casper has had similar issues with false information being posted.
