Natrona County District Court Judge Catherine Wilking ruled that the prosecution failed to meet its burden of proof against Frank Berris.

The case started in 2021 when police were called to investigate a baby taken to the Wyoming Medical Center and treated for a subdural hematoma.

The woman's attorney requested a deferral, citing the "changing landscapes" surrounding marijuana in the United States in tandem with her minimal criminal history.

The alleged crimes commenced in 1980 and would continue for two years to seven years depending on the victim.

Judge Catherine Wilking accepted Denise Johnson's plea and ordered a presentence investigation, and will set a sentencing date later.
