Mullen Fire

Crews are continuing to protect other Albany County communities.

The alert will be in place from midnight to noon Thursday

Structure protection crews will begin assessing Ryan Park and the town of Centennial.

Currently, the Mullen Fire is at 96,757 acres in size. It is 0% contained.

The potential for the fire to spread continues to be high and is expected to stay that way for at least the next 72 hours.

Albany County Undersheriff Josh DeBree said thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost property.

It's being reported at more than 80,000 acres in size.

Damage assessment information is not yet available.

Firefighters successfully defended structures in the Rambler community and Keystone.

On Tuesday, helicopters delivered more than 22,000 gallons of water to help firefighters.

Fire Captain Darek Pepple, Firefighter Derek Higgins and Firefighter Chris Weaver are headed to the Mullen Fire in a brush unit.
