Though nothing seemed to appear in Casper (believe us- we spent 3 hours looking), the National Weather Service in Riverton as well as a resident of Cody, Wyoming have shared a few photos of Aurora Borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights.
This weekend, parts of Wyoming will get a rare chance to get a look at the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis. The areas of Wyoming that could get the view would get the chance on Saturday, October 30th.
The Northern Lights didn't quite make it to our part of Wyoming last weekend, but they didn't miss by much. New video shows the aurora borealis appeared in the sky as far south as the middle of Montana.
The Northern Lights aren't visible over Wyoming very often. This moment was that exception. A photographer captured an absolutely mesmerizing video of this phenomenon and virtually no one has seen it...until now.
