At least one of the victims' family members -- besides their mother, who made the report to police -- knew about the alleged abuse, the victims said, but didn't believe Jones was committing the acts.
The flames originated in the basement of the home, and investigators later determined the fire was set intentionally with the aid of "petroleum-based accelerants."
