In the aftermath of Winter Storm Xylia, driving conditions in and around Casper have been less than ideal. With that in mind, drivers need to be aware of the dangers and be a little more understanding than usual.

Thursday will bring snow accumulations to south-central, southeast, east-central and central Wyoming, impacting I-80 and I-25.

US 287 is closed between Rawlins and Lamont, with the same estimated reopening time.

A day earlier, WYDOT crews worked to clear snow drifts that were several feet high in the Elk Mountain area.

From Douglas to Cheyenne, I-25 was under a 'no unnecessary travel' advisory, with black ice in many areas.
