It's probably easier to list the highways in Wyoming that are open than it is the ones that are closed following a record-setting winter storm over the weekend.

In a sign that the Cowboy State is in the middle of winter, the Wyoming Department of Transportation has ordered the closure of some highways while issuing advisories for others.

Wyoming hasn't had much snow this winter yet, but Mother Nature looked to make up for that on Tuesday.

Interstate 80 is under a rolling closure from Rock Springs to just west of Cheyenne. The closure was issued at 9 a.m. and was expected to last 15 to 17 hours.

Highway officials do not know when the road will reopen.
