The Lone Ranger Bombs At The Box Office
One movie of the summer that I have looked forward to seeing is Disney's brand new, 'The Lone Ranger' granted, I'm a HUGE Johnny Depp fan so I'm slightly biased, anytime I see that he is in something, it's a movie I instantly want to see. However The Lone Ranger apparently was as big of a bomb as Disney's 'John Carter.'
Over the holiday weekend 'The Lone Ranger' brought in about $49 million, that's about $20 million under what the movie was projected to bring in....yikes. And if that isn't bad enough it came in a whopping $90 million behind 'Despicable Me 2.'
This is the second consecutive box office misfire Johnny Depp has had, last summer it was his movie 'Dark Shadows' Which by the way I saw... and it was terrible. For me to say that about a Johnny Depp movie is a serious issue haha.
Will this keep you from seeing the movie? I know it won't keep me from the theater! I'm willing to give my main man, Johnny Depp a chance regardless of how bad the movie did at the box office. Plus 'The Lone Ranger' is from the same people that made 'Pirates of The Caribbean' and I LOVE the POTC movies! So yeah, I'll still give this movie a fair shot!
