The National Weather Service has issued has issued a number of special weather statements and winter weather watches in advance of the next system heade to the Cowboy State.

For Central Wyoming expect 3-6 inches in the mountains East of the Continental Divide from Lander to Casper with lesser amounts of snow expected for the lower elevations of the area. The bulls-eye of this system will be the south and east of Wyoming especially along the I-25 corridor from Douglas to Denver.

.. WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

* TIMING... 6 PM TUESDAY THROUGH 6 PM WEDNESDAY

* SNOW ACCUMULATION POTENTIAL... 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH OVER ONE FOOT OVER THE SOUTHERN LARAMIE RANGE.

* WINDS/VISIBILITIES... VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED BELOW ONE HALF MILE IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW. NORTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH MAY PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS... AREA ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK. DRIVING MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
