Bloody hell! A painting smeared with Amy Winehouse‘s blood is going on the auction block tomorrow (May 11.)

Ex-Libertines singer (and former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss) Pete Doherty has handed off a painting drawn with the blood of the late Winehouse to Sotheby’s for auction.

It’s not as morbid as it sounds, actually.

According to The Independent, Doherty is trying to reinvent himself as a fine artist and often employs arterial splatter aka his own platelets into his work.

His collaborative piece with Winehouse, who died last July at the age of 27, is dubbed ‘Ladylike.’ It boasts a self-portrait in Winehouse’s own plasma. Doherty recalled the creation of the item, saying, “Amy was on the phone to her dad when she did that [painting]. She said, ‘Dad, I’m with Pete and he’s making me draw with my blood!’ He didn’t like me much, her dad.”

It could rake in £50,000-£80,000 when it is auctioned off at the Cob Gallery in London, which translates to $80,000-$130,000 in American currency.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was launched by the singer’s father after her death. It is designed to help at-risk youth.
