You are important, and so is your health, both your mental health and your physical health.

Sometimes when you're struggling, it's hard to know where to turn or how to get back on track.

That's why the new Casper Pride Guide was developed. As leaders state right on the homepage, it "is a resource hub for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in our community. You will find connections to local physical and mental health providers, substance abuse services, community-led projects, and more. It’s your virtual one-stop-shop for all things Queer in our community."

Here are some of our favorite aspects of the Casper Pride Guide:

1) Health and wellness resources are easy to navigate. The health guide states that only 20 percent of our local Queer community reported using the health resources they needed, and this colorful guide offers plenty of facts and links to resources for a wide variety of health concerns. It's paired with a listing of health and wellness providers who are trusted to offer affirming, informed care.

2) The guide recognizes that our Queer community and allies may be in different parts of their journey. If you need it, there's a blue "quick exit" button on the top of every page that will send you to a blank Google search screen.

3) The guide extends support offline, too. There are sections for upcoming social events and for allies to learn how to volunteer and donate.

4) The guide is written in supportive and affirming language. You matter. If you are having suicidal thoughts, they want to help. They want to support you as you quit tobacco use or work to be your best self without prescription drugs, binge drinking, or weed. They want to make sure you're getting the health care you need.

5) The guide will continue to grow and evolve. In the contact form, you can reach out to learn how to be listed as a LGBTQ+ resource or provider, how to list an event, how to learn more about being an ally, how to learn more about resources, and more.

If you're part of the Natrona County LGBTQ+ community or an ally, we encourage you to explore this new resource, both to find any support you or a loved one might need today and to know exactly what information is at your fingertips should you need it in the future. Start at casperprideguide.com.
